Yes, most LED strips are designed with marked cutting points so you can trim them on-site to suit your installation. Just ensure you're cutting at the correct points (usually every 3–5cm) and sealing the ends properly if the strip is IP-rated.
To power a 24V LED strip safely, calculate the total wattage of your run (including any connectors or extensions) and choose a driver with at least 10–20% headroom. For example, a 24V strip drawing 40W total should use a 50W or higher constant voltage driver.
For longer runs (typically over 5m), you can avoid voltage drop by powering the strip from both ends, using thicker gauge cable, or installing multiple drivers to split the load. Always follow manufacturer guidelines to ensure even brightness across the full length.
