Calculate the total wattage of your LED strip run, then select a driver with at least 10–20% extra capacity to ensure long-term reliability. For example, a 30W load should be paired with a 36W–40W driver. Always match the voltage (e.g. 12V or 24V) exactly.
LED strips require constant voltage drivers, which supply a fixed voltage (usually 12V or 24V). Constant current drivers are used for specialised fittings or COB modules and should only be used when specified.
Yes — as long as the total wattage of the connected strips doesn’t exceed the driver’s rated capacity. Use parallel wiring, not series, and ensure all strips operate at the same voltage. For longer runs, consider using multiple drivers or an amplifier.
